Booking Studio Time

Studio time will NOT be officially booked until a 50% percent deposit is made. This deposit must be received 3 weeks prior to the time being booked, unless otherwise specified. The remaining 50% will then be due at the time of the session. Masters, mixes (both rough & final), and file transfers will not be released until full payment of remaining balance has been received.

To cancel studio time and receive a full refund, we ask for 3 days notice. If 3 days notice is given, deposits will either be refunded or applied to rescheduling. Cancellations without 3 days notice are subject to a forfeiture of the deposit.

Storage Policy

It is required that you supply your own external Firewire Hard Drive. USB drives are not acceptable. At the end of your session(s), files & audio tracks will be transferred to your hard drive for storage. Data & session files left on any studio hard drives will be at risk of being erased any time beyond 7 days following your session.

Certain projects require the use of analog tape. We often use both 2" and 1/4" tape. On projects when tape is used, it is our policy that clients purchase tape prior to the session. If tapes are left at the studio after the completion of sessions, we are not responsible for the storing them. If the tapes are not picked up within 90 days of a completed session, they are subject to disposal.

Liability for Damage

Any damage to Sound Factory property, or property provided by Sound Factory, as a result the clients negligence is the responsibility of the client and the cost of repair or replacement will be billed to the client.
